A movement class that develops maximum body control and mobility.
The KINSTRETCH system in essence, is designed to help you move. Move further, stronger, deeper, with more grace and purpose. Kinstretch applies the principles of strength training throughout your full range of movement, defining the distinction between just being flexible and being mobile.
Unlike many training systems, KINSTRETCH practice is complete with a self-assessment system allowing you the ability to monitor your own body for dysfunction that may be causing pain, loss of performance, or that may be putting you at an increased chance of injury.
Classes can help to:
-
Improve movement capacity
-
Improve flexibility, mobility and agility
-
Improve physical performance
-
Improve body awareness and control
-
Prevent/mitigate injury
-
Improve strength
-
Increase neurological function
-
Improve range of motion
KINSTRETCH is not geared towards a specific population; it is geared to humans in general. Expect a variety of ages, body types, athletes, teams and individuals with various occupations and fitness levels. All that you'll need to bring is a yoga mat.
Here's Dr. Andreo Spina, the founder of Kinstretch, explaining the principles.
"All certified KINSTRETCH Instructors are also certified in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC)® making them extremely knowledgeable in human movement, bio-mechanics, and body control development. That means that your instructor is highly trained in spotting, and correcting dysfunctions in your body as you practice."
